Hey, Curlfriend! I'm DeWayne, also known as Dr. Beauty, and I’m proud to be Nashville’s only Level 3 DevaCurl Master Certified Curl Specialist and a Level 1 RezoCut Stylist. Since 2009, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people love and live confidently in their natural texture—one curl at a time.

I currently work in East Nashville at Eklipse Salon, where you’ll experience expert care, curl-focused techniques, and a warm, judgment-free space to embrace your curls, coils, or waves with confidence.

My Journey to Curl Expertise

I began my career over 16 years ago, fueled by a passion for healthy hair and self-expression. As more of my clients began transitioning from chemical straighteners to natural styles, I saw a real need for guidance, education, and specialized care.

In 2015, after a heartfelt conversation with a doctor who couldn’t find a stylist who understood her curls, I knew I had to fill that gap. That led me to DevaCurl, where I became certified in 2018. I later added RezoCut training in 2020 and developed my own curl method—The DeWyCut, inspired by the unique journeys of over 4,500 curly clients I’ve worked with.

• Booking Requests: Until the new system launches in 2025, we will accept appointment requests via email.

• Allow 24 hours for a response during weekdays and 48 hours for requests received after 5:00 p.m. CST on Fridays.

• Deposits Required: All appointment requests require a deposit to secure your spot.

• Existing Appointments: If you have a pre-existing appointment, or have pre-booked months in advances, you will continue to receive reminders as scheduled.

TO QUALIFY FOR A REDO SERVICE, PLEASE CONTACT US WITHIN 5 DAYS OF YOUR ORIGINAL SERVICE DATE. YOUR REDO SERVICE APPOINTMENT WILL BE SCHEDULED WITH THE SAME STYLIST WHO PERFORMED THE SERVICE. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN FOR SERVICES.

Cancellations

WE MAY REQUIRE A CREDIT CARD IN ORDER TO RESERVE AN APPOINTMENT.
TO AVOID A SERVICE CHARGE AND ENSURE APPOINTMENT AVAILABILITY FOR OTHER GUESTS, PLEASE RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL APPOINTMENTS WITHIN 72 HOURS OF THE SCHEDULED SERVICE.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 15 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT, WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THE SERVICE FOR WHICH YOU HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED AND A CANCELLATION FEE WILL APPLY.
